Welcome to the Mentorspheres Mentoring Program
We are based in Drogheda, County Louth but our reach and impact are beyond our location through the mentoring sessions and seminars which we offer by leveraging on the power of technology.
Mentospheres works with youths and young people in a safe space in the following 4 key areas:
- Personal Development
- Professional Development
- Spiritual Development
- Community Development
Mentorspheres offers online, face-to-face and hybrid approaches to mentoring so as to be more flexible and overcome the physical or geographical barrier. We also run different programmes that cover the 4 core areas mentioned above for youths and young people on both group and one to one basis.
Mentors on mentorspheres programme are garda-vetted and have competencies and skills in their chosen fields and of course the following soft skillsets: Right orientation, Right attitude. Clarity of values, Clarity of direction, Confidence in self, Clear and competent articulation, Ability to empathise, Tolerance of ambiguity, and Security about self.
Model : We offer both structured and unstructured mentoring. Structured Mentoring – where sets of pre-defined mentoring goals are put in place to guide as working tools for both mentors and mentees within a specified timeline while unstructured mentoring is the ad hoc mentoring usually based on necessity and circumstance.
Mentorspheres uses internal algorithm to systematically match or pair mentors and mentees based of their profiles, needs and goals set to be achieved. This, of course could also be done manually by our admin staff.
Mentorspheres Approach
We work with every young person to carry out an assessment to identify the need or gap and then offer advice or put tangible support in place in a confidential atmosphere that is void of prejudice but offers supportive relationship to a young person in need.
Mentorspheres also believes that one life filled with dignity, purpose and hope can impact an entire community, so a caring adult in the life of a young person can act to prevent future difficulties or be a support to a young person facing adversity in their lives.
